When Fort Gordon needed design and construction services to repair existing roadways and construct a new roundabout to improve the flow of traffic, we knew we were the perfect fit for the job. With site demolition, asphalt paving, and relocation of existing underground utilities, we self-performed 78% of the work, from electrical and storm water to paving and new concrete curbs, gutters, and sidewalks. When Fort Jackson needed rehabilitation and renovation of an existing 3-story 67,661 square foot classroom training facility that included seismic, AT/FP, and standing seam metal roof upgrades, our established design-build team hit the ground running. The building’s envelope, mechanical, and electrical systems were designed and constructed in compliance with ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2007, and the project successfully incorporated “green” strategies and elements to achieve a LEED “Silver” rating from USGBC including renewable energy and design innovations. Cost: $16.8 Million
When the Marine Corps Logistics Base needed a specialized electrical contractor to upgrade and provide modifications to 8 electrical substations at the Building 2200 Industrial Complex, Windamir’s licensed electricians with 20+ years experience wasted no time. A phased approach was used to minimize power outages as facility was required to remain operational throughout construction. Windamir demolished existing transformers, installed new 500KVA transformers, 208/120-volt and 480/277-volt switchboards, and primary power. Installed new duct banks, and replaced obsolete panels with new main distribution panels and feeders. Cost: $12 Million
