Upgrade Substations 2, 6, & 9
This project consists of providing modifications to Substations 2, 6 and 9
at the Building 2200 Complex at MCLB Albany.
Activities for this project included:
- Demolition of existing unit substations, 15kV primary switch, transformers and secondary
480/277-volt and 208/120-volt switchgear and various obsolete panels connected to the
secondary switchgear
- Provide and install 500KVA pad mounted transformers, 208/120-volt and 480/277-volt switchboards
- Replace old panels and panels with new main distribution panels and feeders
- Provide primary power from existing 15KV Switch
- Install new concrete encased duct banks
- Patch and paint wall
